About Me

Born to two musicians and raised just outside of Washington D.C., I grew up toddling around the house to the sounds of jazz trumpet and scat singing. Even though a love for standards was instilled in me early on, I ultimately went to Otterbein University for my BFA in Musical Theatre.

Shortly after graduating, I was diagnosed with a vocal injury and spent a few years in and out of voice therapy. Eventually I needed surgery, and by the time I reached the end of the rehab process I was so inspired by my experience that I decided to make the switch to pursue my M.S. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders to become a Speech Language Pathologist. I’m currently in my first year at NYU, and I look forward to helping voice patients exactly like myself from the other side of the therapy desk in a few years! While I’ll  always love to perform, I can’t imagine a better way to spend my life than by helping others find confidence through the practice that restored mine.
